Cynthia D. Williams

Clinical Director
MSW, LCSW, ACSW

Cynthia D. Williams, MSW, LCSW, ACSW, Director of Clinical Care, is responsible for supervising clinical staff and directing all patient care activities associated with assigned locations, including the performance of such activities by other LCSWs and LPCs according to established policies and procedures. Her overall responsibilities include the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of clinical performance, including interviewing, hiring, and orienting employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; assessing performance and addressing stakeholder complaints, resolving problems, and building on strengths of all stakeholders.

In addition to her current positions, she serves as an administrator and educator for more than 35 years at top-ranked universities in the region.  Her experience includes strategic planning, curricula development, coordination of community resources, and 15 years clinical services to children in foster care and their families, individuals, and groups.  She is a mentor and teacher of women in ministry, an adviser and coach with individuals seeking to cope with their choices, and a consultant for community stakeholders. 

 

She is a proponent of teamwork that is congruent with high standards for patient care, the best interest of all stakeholders, and excellent clinical practice. 

Tyree E. Miller is a LCSW with the State of Missouri with more than 45 years of experience working in the field of social work and behavioral health. The breadth, scope, and intensity of his professional work encompasses social services, public health, residential treatment, education, and elder care. His commitment as a servant of the people has, over the years, impacted multiple age, socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic groups.

Mr. Miller earned his Bachelors of Arts degree in Sociology from Wilberforce University in 1974 and earned his Masters of Social Work from The Brown School of Social Work, Washington University in 1986. He also completed 2 years in the School of Social Work’s Doctoral Program while there.

​

Mr. Miller has had an extensive number of years of experience in treating individuals, couples and families in the areas of attention deficit disorder, Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, post-traumatic stress disorder, addictions, depression, anxiety, unresolved grief and self-esteem issues. His treatment modalities typically include brief therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, gratitude, and Art Therapy. However, his foundation for understanding can be traced to his reliance upon Biblical Truths.

Tyree E. Miller has been married to the same woman for 40 years, which is actual proof that God is real and a rewarder of those that diligently seek Him. Together, they have weathered many storms, have raised three grown children, receive priceless hugs from 2 wonderful grandchildren, and have retired several times.

​

Mr. Miller’s philosophy of life can be summed up in the famous quote, “We must first make our choices, then our choices make us.”

Angela M. Bryant

Angela Bryant, in 1999, received her undergraduate degrees in psychology, social work, criminology and criminal justice, minoring in sociology and a certificate in trauma from the University of Missouri: St Louis. She did graduate studies from Saint Louis University in social worker with concentration focus on family in 2002. Angela holds a clinical license in Missouri and Kansas in social work. Other education and experience Angela has includes:

  • Graduate certificate in Gerontology from the University of Missouri: St Louis in 2004.

  • Worked with the Children’s Division from 1999 to 2006 in the assessment and investigation unit. In the final year supervised a hotline unit.

  • Trained in complex trauma (2016) through the Child advocacy services of St. Louis. Trained in TF-CBT which is trauma focused Cognitive behavioral therapy.

  • Newly credentialed national Registered Play Therapist.

 

Currently working during the day with a local county school district in Missouri as a school based social worker. One of three crisis coordinators for the district. Attends many committee teams for the district and with the Saint Louis County community.

 

She has a concentration on children, adolescents, young adults through geriatrics. She works on the whole person using a holistic approach with techniques that are evidence based and backed by research.

Valda L. Haywood is a graduate of East St. Louis Sr. High School, University of Illinois with a bachelor’s in psychology, and the George Warren Brown School of Social Work at Washington University with MSW.  Valda is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Certified Anger Management and Nurturing Parenting Facilitator.

 

Valda L. Haywood has over 35-years-experience in the field of child welfare. She is a retired Senior Public Service Administrator for the Illinois Department of Children & Family Service (DCFS). She is also Founder and CEO of VHL Consulting and trained new supervisors and workers at Hoyleton Youth & Family Services. Valda is a Clinical Facilitator under contract with DCFS. She served as Program Director for Community Life Line Family Advocacy Center. She has taught parenting classes that are accepted by the DCFS and the Juvenile Court and is certified to teach and counsel in Anger Management. Valda Haywood has authored two books use to train supervisors and child welfare workers. Valda Haywood is a trained Stephen Minister.

 

Valda Haywood is the fourth child born to Rev. Mack and Mary Lemons, and the mother of two ambitious daughters, Dr. Andrea’netta Mechelle and Monikah Aleasha Haywood. Valda enjoys singing, shopping and hanging out with family and friends.  Valda’s motto is if I trust in the Lord with all my heart and lean not to my own understanding; in all my ways acknowledge Him, that He will direct my path. Valda Haywood  a member of New Life Community Church, East St. Louis, Board Member of Avery & Aubrey’s Way, US and Canadian Council on Accreditation Reviewer and Team Lead, and member of Iota Phi Lambda Business Sorority and Alpha Delta Omega Christian Sorority.
